The Walking Women's Welfare (WWW) Movement is still on the 'move' to provide gender specific housing for homeless women. We have opened Faith Abides Home for Women in Berkeley County (transitioned to new location) and Favor House in Charleston County. On February 1, 2021. Through partnership efforts, community as well as civic support

The HOUSE OF FAITH & FAVOR has officially opened its doors to house eight more women. And, HARMONY HOUSE FOR WOMEN opened its doors for five (5) women on June 15, 2023, in Charleston County for total of 28 beds for our homeless women. Since inception, 67 women have transitioned successfully into permanent housing!!!!! Others are on target in their goal process.​

WE ARE SO BLESSED TO HAVE HOUSING FOR THESE WOMEN BUT WE ARE IN DESPERATE NEED FOR MORE HOUSES! WE ARE ALSO NEEDING MONTHLY CORPORATE SPONSORS TO HELP ENSURE OUR ANNUAL BUDGET AND EXPANSION AGENDA.

 If you know of any single women needing STRUCTURED TRANSITIONAL HOUS ING please reach out to us. They will be required to complete a screening assessment application and have board approval to become a resident. We are pleased to launch these homes as our initiative to help abused, disabled, addicted & general population homeless women. We need your support to ensure the success of maintaining the houses and continued expansion efforts to house others.

IMMEDIATE NEEDS: MONTHLY CORPORATE SPONSORS $250 - $5000 DONORS (CONSISTENT COMMITMENT)

1. SUMBIT MONETARY DONATIONSTO FAITHWORKS INTERANTIONAL MINISTRIES, P.O. BOX 61134, NORTH CHARLESTON SC, 29419,c/o  Walking Women Welfare Ministry. These donations sponsor women entering into the program with no income, program housing bills, and expansion.

2. HOUSEHOLD NEEDS:.

The house needs include: bed linens, towels, dryer, television, toiletry items, feminine products. Call 843-814-1417 for pickup or delivery information.

4. CLIENT SPONSORS: MANY OF OUR RESIDENTS WILL BE COMING TO THE HOME WITH NO INCOME. THEY WILL NEED HOUSING FEE SPONSORS AS WELL AS FEMININE HYGIENE ITEMS. PLEASE SUPPORT THIS EFFORT BY BEING A MONETARY DONOR SPONSOR. For sponsorship details CONTACT US AT:  walkingwomenwelfare41@gmail.com.

5.MONTHLY PARTNERS: TO ENSURE THE SUSTAINABILITY OF OUR PROGRAM AND EXPANSION GOALS, WE ASK THAT YOU BECOME A MONTHLY 'WALKING WOMEN WELFARE' PARTNER. PROCEEDS WILL INSURE MAINTAINING CURRENT RESIDENT HOUSES, OPENING NEW HOMES, AND OUR MONTHLY OUTREACH SERVICES TO HOMELESS WOMEN WHO HAVE NO HOMES. ALL PROCEEDS ARE 501C3 TAX DEDUCTIBLE.

MORE TO COME!!!!

 We have other members who are looking to open recovery communities for women in the Charleston, Hollywood, and Columbia, SC. We have also partnered with a women's program in Spartenburg, SC which house our women and have 4 houses now in the Tri-County area. We are passionate about getting homeless women off the streets and from motels where they are being sexually victimized, trafficked, and susceptible to drug addictions. Many have also been reported of being severely mentally and physically abused. Some have died!

We have also gained the interest of knowledgeable supporters to assist with our governmental initiative to have elected officials push for the opening of a 100+ housing community for Homeless Transitional Housing and Services. We will coach others on HOW to provide structured assistance programs and NOT BE JUST A SHELTER. We bring to the table factual results. We need the support of those who can present availability of funding and perks for governmental entities. Other cities across this Country have proven our Platform Initiative successful. It is time for the Tri-County to do more for our homeless population. We need your commitment to continue collecting Petition Signature, documenting homeless in photographs, videos and testimonies, and offering a listing of all elected officials you can think of for us to contact. 

Those who are interested in a service commitment should state their interest via this correspondence and submit a bio/informal resume of experience, connections, passion for mission, etc. at our next meeting.

****All other members who do not want a leadership will be listed as COMMUNITY ACTION ADVOCATES in areas of interest. Our goal is for everyone to have an active role toward accomplishing our goals. QUARTERLY BUSINESS MEETING
